The Friendly Designer Code of Ethics

Welcome to the world of design, where creativity flows and innovation shines bright! As designers, we have the incredible opportunity to shape the world around us with our unique talents and perspectives. To make sure we're spreading positivity and good vibes in everything we do, I follow a friendly code of ethics that guides my actions and decisions.

1. Let's Be Original Together

Let's promise each other to always respect and celebrate originality. Copying someone else's work is like wearing someone else's favourite clothes – it just doesn't feel right. It doesn’t help you and it hurts them. So, let's embrace our individuality and create designs are unique. By honouring each other's creative spark and avoiding plagiarism, we're paving the way for a more colourful and authentic design community.

2. Sharing is Caring

In this creative playground, let's make sure we're not keeping all the fun to ourselves. Sharing knowledge is like passing around a basket of goodies – it just makes everything better! So, be generous with our insights and skills, uplifting each other along the way. By opening up and not being afraid of collaboration, we foster a more dynamic and innovative field. There are enough projects for everyone, so help out a fellow designer when you can!

3. Designing for a Brighter Tomorrow

Our design powers are mighty, so let's use them for good. Working with companies that share our values and make the world a better place is the goal. Choose projects that light up our hearts and minds, spreading joy and positivity. By teaming up with organizations that champion social good, inclusivity and sustainability, we're creating a brighter future for all, one design at a time.

4. Putting Users First

The heart of good design beats with empathy and understanding. Let's put ourselves in the shoes of our users, crafting experiences that feel like a warm hug on a cold day. By prioritizing user experience, inclusive and human-centered design, we're creating meaningful connections that resonate deeply with people. Through ensuring our work is accessible and inclusive we make the world a friendlier and more delightful place.

5. Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion

Embrace the rainbow of perspectives and ideas that make our world shine bright. By championing diversity and inclusion in everything we do, we're creating a kaleidoscope of voices and talents that enrich our design journey. Design with as many people and abilities in mind – no one likes to feel left out or excluded. Use alt text, check the colour contrast, and be inclusive in your imagery.
